In recent months, cocoa prices have surged significantly due to poor harvests in key growing regions. This sharp increase is driven by disease, aging plantations, and extreme weather events, particularly in West Africa, which have severely impacted supply (FoodNavigator.com). As a result, we must partially reflect these higher costs in our pricing to maintain our quality standards, especially when crafting our luxurious cakes with Callebaut chocolate.
